This is kind of apropos of nothing, particularly with us being a fashion blog and all, but we spotted this billboard the other day while walking down U Street and were highly amused that the folks at Tylenol Cold have decided to take on the sweet, happy, faith-in-humanity-holding do-gooders at Chicken Soup for the Soul. Not the best marketing move, in our humble opinion.
On second thought, maybe the Chicken Soup people do need to be taken down a notch. Because when grabbing the link for their site, we saw that the latest installment in the series is Chicken Soup for the American Idol Soul. Um. Seriously?

Haha. Oh, snap is right. You know those cartoons in Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul with the seriously hideous-looking people (The teen-aged girls looked like they were 80 years old), well, anyway, I have a teacher who looks identical to them, I didn't know it was humanly possible 'till I saw her.

I kinda agree that the Chicken Soup people need to chill out. Yes, I got the "teenage soul" book when it first came out, but you're right, they have an embarrassing number of over-specific titles.
