More from the races

If you read my other site already, then there will be quite a few repeats below, but honestly, Steeplechase was so fashionably prep-tastic that it seems necessary to show them again over here.
And what did I wear? I took a serious cue from my Eliza Doolittle fantasies and went with black and white for the day (and bright pink for the afterparty). Really, it was the poofiest vintage dress I could find, and this picture doesn't really do justice to its seriously gauzy rufflyness. I added an extra touch of Southern-style ridiculousness by pinning an oversized flower to my shoulder that has left me with some very unusual tanlines. The hat – which I love and am totally going to wear around all summer – is from H&M; the sunglasses are my oversized freebies from Meeps.

all i want to know is, where is that pink patterned dress from! loving the mens outfits.
i know! that pink patterned dress was one of my very favorites.
Love love love your ensemble and also the bright orange dress--great photos, dahling!
my favorite is the dress with the cranes (?) on it, and I think I have to track down the man in the white suit + green shirt and make him marry me.
I bit too preppy for my liking. But, honestly, I am really jonesing for something seersucker. Like a nice, very tailored, shrunken blazer or some trouser shorts to wear with an old gray, slightly ripped tshirt (or a very worn in vintage lacoste or izod polo) and gladiator sandals.
Great post. Glad to know the prepsters can still keep it real with a beer bong!
I love all of these pics - great East Coast prep vibe. Especially fun to compare to pics from Coachella festival in CA - both outdoor events but miles apart style wise.
Lol, funny photos!
A man wearing Lily Pulitzer pants, I never thought I'd see that unless he was 80 years old! Your outfit is perfect!
thanks so much for this - it makes me long for the south! men in loafers without socks, plaids and pinks without shame - hurrah!
Looks like everyone had a blast! Bright colours, blazing sun, lush green fields. And I'm amazed no one looks shiny tho it seems so hot - fresh and crisp!
The fashion is always my favorite part of the races... besides, well, the winning money part. Love the picture of the woman with the ostrich hat! Pure fabulousity.
The orange dress with - swans? - is stunning!
