Who will be SATC-ing it this weekend?
I've purposely avoided all the reviews and as many photos as humanly possible so I'll be (somewhat) surprised by whatever happens when I catch the new Sex and the City movie this weekend. I couldn't get tickets for tonight, so the girls and I will be taking it in tomorrow—along with fruity cocktails and poufy skirts, of course. (What? It's no weirder than the kids who get dressed up every time there's a new Star Wars! Hmmm… though perhaps that's not the most helpful comparison.) Still, in summary: Wheeee!

I do very much want to see it. My cousin (my only real girly friend) and I both have birthdays this weekend. Maybe we'll head out for come celebratory girliness!
I'm heading to see it in an hour and a half. Excitement!
No spoiler alert here! I won't divulge any of the details but I saw the screening on Tuesday and it is fabulous! My girlfriends and I had to go straight from work to get seated in the theatre on time, but there were plenty of poufy, sparkly dresses in the audience! Have fun!
Wheee indeed! it's a perfect chance to dress up and have fun with your girls! I can't wait :)
I just came back from seeing it, if you want you should check out my NON-spoiler reveiw. Its mostly a heads up on what to expect going into the movie and how I felt leaving it.

we're doing a full satc roof-top party. do you remember the one where samantha had issues with certain "ladies" doing business outsider her apartment?
we're having a roof top bbq, with mojitos and then off to the movie and then dinner.
i know the movie has gotten awful reviews BUT i will live it, always.
love,

MAHHHHH! ME TOO!!! ME TOO!!! I
me!!!!! but we have to wait till next week in Seoul
It was FANTASTIC! I was expecting to be somewhat disappointed as I'm always disappointed by high-profile movies. But no, I cried a lot and tried to stifle it as I was doing the movie, dinner, dancing thing and didn't want to ruin my makeup!
Some of it was cheesy and the pacing was sometimes a little off and some storylines weren't developed enough, BUT it was great despite all these.
The outfits were fantastic as well. *sigh* it made me want to rip out my closet and start again.
I'm so feeling the urge to drink Cosmos. The fashion is still fabulous after all these years.

I´ve seen it last Wednesday in Vienna and I´m sure I´ll see it again in cinema.
I went last night, got dressed up, and loved the movie. It was packed - but the audience really loved it. A lot of laughing, oo-ing & ahh-ing.
It was all very wonderful :-)

I certainly SATC'd this wknd and the fashion was fabulous beyond belief. If only I had the funds to be able to live the fashionably wonderful life that carrie and her friends are able to lead I might just die and go to heaven! Ah the shoes, the dresses, the colors chosen by ms fields...honestly?! ah...well i think it was stupendous!
Went to the premiere this weekend, totally dressed up of course :). You could call me a fan (ok, a huge fan), so I tried to keep my hopes down. But overall I was satisfied. I do agree that some storylines were rushed and other places were dragging a bit. It's not completely up to the level of say the last episodes. The clothes are though :D. Loved the outfits, was grinning at the screen like an idiot.
Am not going to post spoilers here. Do let us know what you thought about it!
not a very helpful comparison, but SATC doesn't really compare to cult shows with such a huge, diverse audience!
I loved the movie and it was so great to go out of the theater and enjoy New York, almost like they did !!!!
hi, i was wandering if you could put me on your blogroll. i love your blog and already have done so for you.
love your style

I SATC-ed on Saturday, frilly dress and silver shoes in tow :) I even managed to book a theatre with 30 minutes SATC preview so that I can 'fully' absorb the clothing sensation. I don't care how men think we must be nuts but I started applauding when Big showed Carrie the closet he made for her.
Story line-dull
Length-too long
Ending-trite
Clothes-disappointing-I do have a MUCH better wardrobe
Shoes-amazing
Summary-reruns of series much better
Was away, so saw this late--saw SATC in NYC on Thursday night at 12:01am...all dressed up in my best ever shoes (crazily purchased the new Pradas with the flower heel...for SATC!)
It was so fab I saw it again on Saturday! Love love love the fashion, especially the green dress Carrie wore for apt hunting!
I looooooooooooved it. Patricia Field is a nutcase, but man, she knows what works on screen! The colours were fantastic. And the blue dress she wore to her house warming was mind blowing. I can't wait to see it again!
I looooved it, I'm sure you will too.
Great blog btw. =)
