This is a great DIY project. If you use your own brooches, then you can switch them whenever you have the whim for a different flavor of whimsy.

I am seeing the base of this sandal being sold EVERYwhere, too. Such an inexpensive and easy way to make a great little outfit-pick-me-up!

I just did some DIY sandals tonight to blog about tomorrow (and now I'm a bit embarrassed because I probably should have put more work into them). But no, Chie Mahara can seriously do no wrong.
Ooooh, I just drooled all over my keyboard. Those are magnificent! And as someone who lacks the skillz to make my own, I guess I'll have to start saving my pennies ...
