All I need now is a convertible.
As inspired by Darling (which I finally got around to watching the other week, and which is kind of cute from a fashion sense but otherwise not particularly recommendable, and which I cannot believe Julie Christie won an Oscar for) and the unrelated and infinitely cuter galadarling, I have been experimenting with the head scarf as of late. I'm not sure I'm totally able to pull it off, but the stack of vintage scarves in my closet are happy to finally see some daylight for a change.
Also: It looks especially cute with big, black, Jackie O.-style sunglasses.
But: I'm new to the headscarf thing, so I'm kind of baffled: How does one keep the headscarf on? Particularly on windy days? Is there some sort of clipping secret I need to be aware of?
That is all for today. My e-mail is still not working properly (for about the 11th day now – damn you, Yahoo!) and so I need to go and bang my {cutely attired} head against a wall for a while.

Awww, how cute you is! I tie mine on quite tightly, knot it at the back, then tuck the triangle underneath it. Also, I cover my ears with mine, which I think makes it more secure. (Don't ask me to explain this twisted logic.) I've never had one blow off yet!
You look adorable in your headscarf, it suits you!
The scarf looks good on you - the colour is great! It could also be cute as a hairband.
you are adorable!!! i pin mine w/bobbypins.
I really want to see 'Darling' and assume that the only thing that might stand the test of time is the fashion/visuals. Anyway, that's how I felt about 'Blow Up'--didn't get what the big deal was but loooved the clothes and scenery.
Cuteness in the scarf!!
Jcrew has some cute ones that actually are one whole piece with elastic in the bottom so it fits secure and snug to the head. I've been wearing mine all month!
good lookin' ms. spinach!! ;-)
bobby pins are your friend.
I have to agree that Gala did a great video for how to use your scarf. You did a good job yourself!
