India, India, India...

Friday, September 01, 2006

Things have been crazy since I've arrived in India -- lots of meetings, lots of shows, lots of events and people and shopping and busyness. I've seen some beautiful things and am taking lots of pictures and notes (and also naps -- this stuff wears you out!). Here's a glimpse of things to come -- a dress by designer Manish Arora, whose psychedelic creations are always a highlight. (I kind of love the hen hat.) In any case, all this hoopla ends Sunday and then I'll head briefly to another part of India for a different story, and then I'll head home. I think I'll be pretty happy to get back to my regular scheduled blogging.

Oh MAN! Hen hat! Hen hat! Are there other animals as well? It's all I want for my b-day.

well, no -- i don't think people actually *wear* hen hats. (although isabella blow is here as well, and has been gracing some of the shows in her signature givenchy and philip treacy headwear.) it's just a quirky hat kind of event, i guess!

more coming, i promise!

my friend just sent me the link to your page, and i've just got 2 things to say:
1. i'm sooooo envious that you're in india - breathing, seeing, tasting and absorbing the colours, sights and smells
2. i'd kill to be able to have a look into *your* wardrobe
