If you happen to live in Singapore and you're free tomorrow, you'll definitely want to check out the inaugural MAAD, a new Sunday market featuring original creative works. Judging by the website, it looks like it will have everything from artwork to apparel to music and oh so much more. (It's at the very cool Red Dot Design Museum on Maxwell Road in Chinatown, from 11am to 7pm.) I'm out of town for the next two Sundays and so won't be able to check it out until the end of the month [grumble], but I am sending Mike tomorrow with strict instructions to purchase me several gifts and take lots of pictures. He usually has a pretty good eye, so I'm excited to see how it goes.

In our experience, the vast majority of brand-name goods that come from China are either replicas or faked. We strongly recommend that you assume that this is the case in the first instance. eBay is currently cracking down heavily on people selling fakes and it is not an area of business we suggest you get into!
