Knitting, Take 2

Friday, February 01, 2008

OK, so I've been to Stitch DC three times now (thankfully, they are really friendly and also conveniently located between the highly browsable duo of Anthropologie and Barney's) and I think I'm finally ready to tackle my much-anticipated knitting project. Er, again.

Ideally, I'd like to finish my cowl before, say, it gets too warm to wear. So for a little extra motivation, I'm filling my head with the gorgeous designs at Pip-Squeak Chapeau (like the amazing chunky neck warmer above, $108), discovered via Fabbergasted.

Good luck! I've just finished a cowl myself, but I want to make another, chunkier one like this. I think you'll find the chunky yarn and stockinette stich on circular needles fairly easy - no purl stitches! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Pip-Squeak Chapeau has beautiful knits, they had a holiday shop in Bryant Park this year, and should be back next year.
