Thrifty is nifty!

Above are some rejected outtakes from a little vintage-y photo session I put together for DCGoodwillFashions' "Blog the Blogger" series, which today features me! (Er, looking slightly goofy. But that's okay.) Click on over for the full rundown on what I'm wearing* and how much I paid for it, as well as some very detailed** answers about some of my biggest fashion loves.
If you missed it, earlier installments of the series included fun interviews with D.C. fashion bloggers D.C. Pleats, Wardrobe Oxygen and Panda Head. Aw shucks, I'm just happy to be included. Thanks, Em!
*That boots and skinny jeans combo paired with a big faux fur coat? It's pretty much my run-around-town uniform these days.
**If by "very detailed," I actually mean "characteristically long winded," which I do. I don't really do concise very well.

Thank goodness for your faux fur! People have tried to make me feel guilty about mine for years, or perhaps it's the leopard print that offends, but today I will wear it with aplomb!
Cute interview!
oooh. a faux leopard coat is next on my list! i spotted an incredibly awesome swingy one at a little vintage store here in d.c., but at $180, i had to pass it up.
i have high hopes for a cheaper version though!
(btw, my faux fur collection is growing exponentially! i think i'm up to six. they're incredibly warm, uniquely original and basically made of plastic, so the rain doesn't really hurt them and they hold up well over time. the best part: they're easily available at most thrift stores, so you don't have to shell at more than $20 to give it a try.)
Oh, I love your jacket and the scarf! They are fabulous!:)Also the boots are great! I can't believe you paid almost nothing! :)
I love the red piping on the jacket. Great styling!
The short jacket is awesome. In a way, I want one...in that way where you want things.
Man, I need to sleep more.
looking good, ms. spinach. I'd looove to have vintage roadtrip. It sure sounds fun, but the hardest part is to find a "saint" to come along. :)
Aw, shucks, you're welcome. Methinks your pics were fabulous, too! -the DCGF
hi! Which day of the Georgetown Flea market is your fav day to go?
also, i'm going on a short road trip to CHicago. Anywhere along the way you think I should try to stop for some cool vintage finds/shopping?
May I please, please have your blue/red coat (or any of your castoffs, really) the next time you have an ill-advised closet cleanout? It would be greatly appreciated! Love the blog btw!
