Smile, Smile, Smile…

I am having sort of a stressful end-of-the-week, and so am trying to concentrate on some things that make me smile.
For example: The piggy bank above was mine as a kid (or possibly my brother's, now that I think about it. Hmmm.) A few weekends ago, I went shopping for old-school piggy banks with Nate (who deserves much congrats on the new job!) and Holly in Brooklyn, and they found the cutest piggy bank, which inspired me to drag this fella out of my storage boxes and back to Singapore with me. He's now happily eating all my random change.
+The other site has a new colorful header that kinda makes me smile too.
+Just this week I've been catching up with the new Teen Vogue and had been admiring a great spread on layering – which Fashion Addict Diary just so happened to post today (click on over for the full layout). You, too, can rock the longsleeved tee plus pinafore dress look this season. Get on it!
+There's a new pottery studio at 8 Bali Lane (one block over from Haji Lane here in Singapore) that I'm very excited to check out. I mean, how can you go wrong when the front of the studio looks like this?:
+Dooce's Halloween recap photos caused much out-loud giggling this morning, and not just because I had two enormous cups of coffee beforehand.
+How much do I love the cover of this vintage sewing book, scored at the thrift store for 50 cents during my stay at home? It was falling apart, so we taped it up and got it laminated, and now it's in great, sewing table-worthy shape.
+And finally: My office is now home to these little pics by Japanese artist Ryo Ohwada, which I found in Tokyu Hands with lots of other cool images from the snap shot art project. Aren't they purdy?
