Beyond Awesome DIY Project

Sunday, May 23, 2010

I cannot wait to try out PS I Made This' easy-DIY steps for neutral wrap heels. Made with nude pantyhose! Never did I think I would ever endorse anything that incorporated nude pantyhose, but I stand very corrected.

PS) Just saw the comment about my photos not appearing in Firefox. I suspect it has something to do with my recent Blogger-mandated move to their servers. Grrrrr. I'll get my tech team (aka my younger brother) on it and see what we can do. Thanks!

nononononono you cannot do this, this is a truly bad idea. It will not look like this season's Fendi or Givenchy but rather like old stockings wrapped around cheap shoes. You have great taste and a great eye, please just no.

This reminds me of something Marilyn Monroe did with her heels in some of her photoshoots. Only she used a blue ribbon.

Your photos appear correctly in my Firefox. Well, the pantyhose idea looks a little weird... not sure if I want to try that. :)

OBSESSED with nude heels this season and this is a great idea of how to update them for a ballet-chic second life. Thank you!

Surprisingly, I kind of like this look. As much as I hate pantyhose, this might prove to be their most useful function. Here's a way I just learned to make your panty hose last longer. I never knew! http://www.fitandfabliving.com/index.php/accessories/7-want-to-make-your-pantyhose-last-longer.html

Surprisingly, I like the look - and I hate pantyhose! Here's an interesting tidbit I found on how to make your panty hose last longer, whether you choose to wear them or tie them around your heals.

This looks great in editorials, NOT in real life. Think you could channel that creative urge into your next shoot?

I would never wear nude heels, but this is such an innovative idea...maybe I'll try it with black heels and black pantyhose!

I love this. I can't wait to try. Lately, I've been putting leather laces into all my shoes. I love reworking a piece you already own.

I don't care what anyone thinks!! I love them! Totally go for it. Have you ever made your own
satin heels? Just wondering because I keep seeing everywhere that those are going to be so in this fall!

Nice post. All very good points. There are a few sites that I’ve registered at in order to comment, but they are few and far between.
