Pigs Flying, and Other Fun

Who'd ever thought we'd see the day where I'd wax on and on about Ann Taylor? And yet! That peter-pan collared sweater (above, left) and tweedy cropped jacket with the huge collar (above, right) got me more excited than anything I've seen all week. (And I've seen a lot of things, because I just got back from NYC. Where, despite all my best attempts, I did not find a *single thing* worth buying. I did, however, wear hot pink spandex and go marching in the Village Halloween parade.)

Wow, that skirt and jacket! Gap Kids also has some surprisingly cute items this season that I'd like to see stretched into adult sizes.

I just went there last week and scooped up two dresses, a great ruffled neck blouse and a cardi. I always thought shopping at Ann Taylor would mean that I was officially and adult. Now I am just saying it's b/c they have good style!

I love Ann Taylor, but would rather see normal sized models wearing the clothing. I am a size 4 and would look like a moose next to this model. Shame on them for making me think I'm big!

I know right!? This company has gone from almost bankrupt to soaring profits ever since they changed designers! I love how young and hip they've become. Perfection!

I've noticed the change in Ann Taylor too. Their designs are definitely more fun. I think it's due to the Jenna Lyons effect. She's completely reinvigorated JCREW (in terms of looks and profits) and the rest of the industry is catching on.

I am so with you on this. I happened to stop in to Ann Taylor the other day with my mum + was delightfully surprised by the new direction their line has taken.

Truly, some choice finds.

Cheers.
